A financial professional, Dirk Coetzer has spent more than a decade as a managing director at ICON Capital Sarl in Luxembourg. Outside of the office, Dirk Coetzer supports several philanthropic endeavors, including Save the Rhino International.
Registered in the United Kingdom in 1994 by rhino enthusiast Dave Stirling, Save the Rhino International seeks to raise awareness of the plight of the five rhino species that live in the wild. It works closely with partner organizations to support endangered rhinos living in Africa and Asia. The strategies include raising funds to protect the dwindling population, raising global awareness about rhino conservation, and developing campaigns to reduce the demand for rhino horns.
To help raise money for its mission, Save the Rhino International hosts fundraisers throughout the year. On November 23, 2016, the organization will host the Save the Rhinos Mystery Dinner in London at the Puddle Dock. This event takes inspiration from the Japanese Pecha-Kucha speaking style and features five individuals who will speak to the guests on the evening’s theme. The fast-paced format allows the speakers to present their journeys in just seven minutes. Attendees also enjoy a three-course meal and the chance to bid on artwork in the silent auction.
